Welcome to more inspiring ideas for your desert landscape!
Poolside landscaping in Arizona with feature boulders on the edge of
the
pool. A gradual succession of plants lead the eye so nicely into the
mountain backdrop. A great example of distal (near/far) balance in
designing that incorporates features outside the yard into the view.

A beautiful flagstone patio with stairs molded into boulder features
around this stunning pool. A waterfall, slide, stone wall and fountains
have all been
added to make this unique. A nice patio area provides a
quiet sitting
area and view of all the features.

Desert landscaping can still be lush with proper irrigation installed.
This is a perfect example of how it removes many of the restrictions
placed on what we can plant. There are a great number of beautiful
plants that only require a minimal amount of water.

Backyard
putting greens have become a great low maintenance way of adding
another feature to your yard. Adding some small shrubs and a few
boulders in the decorative rock is a great way to soften things up.
Notice how things were also left open along the fence to enjoy the
beautiful open air mountain view.

These front steps lead to a beautiful gated entryway for a desert
courtyard. The boulders at the start of the walkway are tastefully
blended into the brickwork and stone wall. The walkway is lit at
night time for safety.

This front yard design extends around the side where native desert
plants alongside a dry creek bed resemble an oasis. The coverage of
decorative rock compliments the walls and shingles of this house.

Xeriscaping a front yard with two contrasting decorative rocks. The
rocks were separated by paver stones. Ornamental grasses and other low
maintenance shrubs give life to the rock.

This desert backyard has added irrigation to provide the needed water
for the turf. Feature boulders, cacti, and decorative rocks contrast
nicely
against the thick lush green lawn.
